A college student taking in the world around her. Becoming the person I want to be and offering advice, my experiences, and random thoughts with those who are interested. ~Started December 3rd, 2018~
I can’t believe the holiday season is upon us! The weather’s getting a lot colder, the days are getting shorter, and it’s hard being at home 24/7. This year has been a crazy one with Covid, but there’s also a lot of good that’s happened.
Alex and I really started pushing each other to workout daily and form a routine. This started in April and has carried on into December. I started my new whole food plant based diet to help with indigestion and overall physical appearance. I really like where my body is at and am also excited to continue to stay in shape, find new workouts, and eat healthy this month.
Below are some goals for December:
Keep a routine and work out at least 5 days a week
Eat healthy, especially with the holidays.
Get plenty of sleep and keep my body nourished/ hydrated.
I’m proud of the routine Alex and I have built and can’t wait to carry this on into not only December, but 2021 as well.
Tonight I slowed it down a bit by doing some yoga core strengthening. I went into it thinking this would be an easier workout to start the week off with, but boy was I wrong!
Yoga is always more challenging than I think it will be. This is what I love about it. Until you do it, you don’t realize how much strength is needed to complete a 20-30 minute flow. They always make me feel so good because I get to push myself and take the time to understand my body and really focus on how I’m feeling.
Tonight I changed up my routine with a HIIT workout. It’s not uncommon for me to throw one of these types of workouts in to my weekly routine. I love how quickly they get your heart rate going! They are super fun and quick when you really get into them.
October 13th- 15 minute abs workout
I’m pretty sore all over from last nights workout. I decided to still workout tonight, but also be mindful of how my body is feeling. I ended this set with some stretching!
October 14th- Rest
I’m still really sore in my back and legs from Monday. I wanted to take a rest day and let my body catch up. My goal is to workout tomorrow and take the next few days off due to getting my wisdom teeth removed.
October 15th- 20 minute full body workout
This workout kicked my butt tonight! It was 20 minutes straight with no breaks. It felt good to get such a solid workout in before taking the next few days off due to my wisdom teeth getting removed.
October 16th- Rest
Today I got my wisdom teeth out. I was not up to working out and have a feeling it may take me a couple days before slowly getting back into a routine.
